Amazing. Powerful. Beautiful.
What am I describing? A hospital birth.
Read the birth yourself over at Navelgazing Midwife. It's just one of those things that everyone should read.
This amazing and beautiful hospital birth is what every hospital birth should be like.

Because of my very high risk pregnancies (15 pregnancies, two with twins and one with triplets0 and only two living babies, lupus and incompetant cervix issues, there was no midwife who would have considered me for a homebirth--or even a client. I saw high risk perinatologists for my last pregnancy with Shelby and her twin (who we sadly lost)...but my births were beautiful, easy, intervention free, drug free, and wonderful. Even in a hospital you can have wonderful experiences. In my case, a live baby was the joyful thing...but it was also nice to squat to give birth, nurse immediately, and not have to deal with drugs..
love, kas
