Fifty years ago, seven suburban women embarked on a journey that would change the breastfeeding community forever. In a time where breastfeeding rates were extremely low, they banded together and created an organization to help mothers who wanted to breastfeed their babies. La Leche League is now an international organization with chapters all over the world, helping the breastfeeding mother one meeting at a time. Here's a wonderful video on the history of La Leche League, and how it all began.

Hi Shelley - great blog! So glad I found you! I love to read about people enjoying their breastfeeding experience.
I too have a breastfeeding blog and am running an online blog party this month (www.breastfeedersanonymous.blogspot.com) and am posting a new story everyday from a mum or professional relating to breastfeeding. I'd love you to be a guest blogger, if you're intersted, check out the site, then email me at info@breastfeedersanonymous.com
Cool video! Very interesting story.
