Crazy, I know: Bolton CD Winner!

Singing Along (With Giveaway)

Lately I've been listening to this song... it seems kind of fitting, as I move into welcoming a new life into my arms while letting go of a love that was in my life all at the same time.

Does that ever happen to you? Where a certain song has phrases and lyrics that just jump out at you, and make complete sense to where you are in life?

"Maybe I'm a fool, but being foolish gets me closer...Everything I do is doing anything to hold you...My heart is on the edge, it's true...But I'll walk out on the ledge for you."

I admit, Micheal Bolton is not someone I would ever think to have found inspiration in. But his newest CD is pretty cool, a bit different from his earlier ones.

So, I sit and wait for this baby. For whatever is next in my life. And in the meantime...I just keep singing along.

GIVEAWAY:

One reader will win a copy of Micheal Bolton's newest CD, One World, One Love. This great CD includes collaborations with Lady Gaga and Ne-Yo.

How to enter:

~ Visit Micheal Bolton's website and check out his music, gallery, and updates. Then come back here and leave a comment on what your favorite Bolton song is.

I share pictures online, and for the most part, there they stay. I'm not organized enough to print them off and put them in photo albums.

Vistaprint is offering one of my readers an opportunity to win a personalized, 12 X 12 Photo Book. The winner can choose from hard cover, leather cover or linen cover. It includes 26 pages and a variety of layout and design options and free 14-day shipping. The value of the giveaway is over $50.

Non-Toxic Tots Winner!!

Girl Time (With Giveaway!)

She's not usually the girly one in the family, but she does love to have her nails painted. Begged me to paint her nails, actually. But I resisted; the chemical smell alone of nail polish makes me sick and gives me headaches, why would I want to expose my child to that?

But then Kaiya from Non-Toxic Tots graciously sent me some Piggy Paint natural nail polish and Piggy Paint natural nail polish remover to review.
No toxic and smelly fumes. No worries about dangerous chemicals. No garish colors that would look tacky on a 5 year old.

Just quality time with my big girl, giggling and painting our nails.

Either my camera is playing a trick on me, or she just got a little bit older.
My big girl. My beauty. My heart.

Giveaway: Kaiya is offering one lucky reader a $20 gift certificate to Non-Toxic Tots. To enter, just visit Non-Toxic Tots and look around, then come back here and leave a comment on which product you love.

Music Review: Corneille

I really love music. I listen to it every day, mostly while I am cleaning. So I was really excited to be able to get my hands on the new Corneille CD, The Birth of Cornelius.

What can I say? This artist is amazing. His songs are full of soul and meaning. And it isn't just his talent that is amazing: his back story is as well. Corneille was living in Rwanda in 1994 and lost his entire family in the genocide. His strength and determination is truly inspiring.

Most of his songs are about love and soul, but there were at least two songs about Rwanda on this CD that nearly brought me to tears.

I love this CD and have already lent it out to family and friends. It's definitely a winner. And, I have two copies to give away to two lucky winners. All you have to do to enter is:

1. Head on over to Amazon and scroll down to listen to some samples from the CD.

2. Come back and comment, letting me know which sample you liked best.

3. If you subscribe to my blog, let me know and you will get an extra entry.

4. Also, extra entries will be given to anyone who tweets, blogs, or facebooks this giveaway.

Make sure you let me know if you've done each in a separate comment! I will choose two winners on Monday, April 13th. Good luck!
